Teaching

Library Journal Movers and Shakers 2003

"I expect to motivate my students. It is my job to make them interested, and to enhance their learning by using the most appropriate technological tools. I tend to rely also on handouts. I believe the written word in front of them is a wonderful aid. I expect to be creative, dynamic and enthusiastic when in front of a class. I consider that my teaching should also involve enhancing my students' vision and perspective of other cultures and environments. Finally, I find that teaching is a matter of knowledge and trust. That is why I am also interested in what they do, and why do they do it? Those are seminal components of my teaching philosophy."
