Dr. Douhovnikoff is an assistant professor in ecology and a faculty member of the Biology Department at Simmons College in Boston, MA
My research interests focus on disturbance ecology and reproductive ecology, using a combination of field sampling and molecular ecology tools. I have studied the ecology of flooding in riparian woodlands, harvesting in conifer forests, disease in oak woodlands, and insect predation in grasslands. Much of my work explores clonal growth in plants in order to understand the interaction of disturbance regime with plant reproduction and growth structure at the population and community scale.
