LIS 462 - Resources
Web resources
Web sites and other Web resources for this course will be found on my digital libraries pages, or in various other of my interest areas. The only things listed below are materials which are print or print'ish. Reserve materials are so indicated, and here is the course reserve list from the OPAC. Bookmarks for Web pages mentioned in lectures and PowerPoint presentations are here.
The class wiki is at http://gslis.simmons.edu/wikis/lis462/. When we start work on the DL, the wiki will be our main project management tool.
In Fall 1999, for the first time this course was offered, we compiled some interesting definitions of digital libraries.
Journals
I keep journals on a separate page.
Listserv list
The DIGLIB@infoserv.inist.fr listserv list and its archive focus on research.
Reading plan
I have made an attempt to create a kind of reading plan for the course. Full citations for items in the reading plan are listed below.
Primary materials
Items in this and the following list are only on reserve where indicated. I put everything on 24-hour reserve - if this becomes a problem, let me know.
