Cornell University, Digital Preservation Officer: Maintains many useful resources, including reports and tutorials on Digital Preservation Management and online digital imaging (Moving Theory Into Practice) (which can stand alone but is intended to be partnered with a publication of the same name by Anne Kenney & Oya Rieger).
Digital Preservation Coalition: The DPC was launched in May 2002, "to address the urgent challenges of securing the preservation of digital resources in the UK and to work with others internationally to secure our global digital memory and knowledge base." The DPC maintains the online version of Beagire and Jones' Preservation Management of Digital Materials Workbook, as well as other full text documents. The Coalition receives support from the Digital Preservation Focus of the UK's Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC).
DIGITAL-PRESERVATION@JISCMAIL.AC.UL: A listserv list and its searchable archive. The focus is on news, announcements, and discussion.
European Commission on Preservation and Access: Headquartered in Amsterdam, the ECPA promotes public awareness of preservation issues in Europe. The site offers a wealth of resources (their own as well as those of the CLIR and others), news, and links to European activities.
ISO Archiving Standards: This is the official gateway to information about the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) Reference Model.
LOCKSS: Home of the Lots of Copies Keeps Stuff Safe program.
Digital Preservation (Library of Congress): Resources, video transcripts, news, events, and conference papers.
NISO Standards: The National Information Standards Organization has a few relevant standards in this srea, including Technical Metadata for Digital Still Images and Guidelines for Preservation Product Information. All available as PDF documents.
Northeast Document Conservation Center: Hosts the online version of Handbook for Digital Projects (Maxine K. Sitts), and a great collection of pamphlets and other resources.
PADI: Preserving Access to Digital Information: A subject gateway to a rich collection of digital preservation resources, citing readings and websites. Selected resources are safekept by PADI.
Planets: A four-year European project to "address the challenge of preserving access to digital cultural and scientific knowledge".
PREMIS: Official website for maintenance of the preservation metadata data dictionary developed by OCLC and RLG. Includes links to tutorials, publications, et al.
