Come to the opening of the new GSLIS Usability Lab and hear a talk by Gary Marchionini, Cary C. Boshamer Professor in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina.

Digital Divide Panel Discussion, April 7, 2008

ASIS&T, PLG, and SIR hosted a panel discussion on the digital divide and how it effects libraries in the US and internationally. Speakers Jessamyn West, Susan O'Connor, and Pat Oyler spoke about access issues in rural and urban communities and internationally. The event was podcasted and the mp3s will be available soon!

FCC Hearings in Boston on net neutrality

This hearing is being held so Boston citizens can voice their concerns over anti-competitive practices effecting internet access in our region. The hearing is this Monday, February 25. Visit the Save the Internet site for more information.
