April 18, 2007, 6:30 pm
Kotzen Meeting Room (in the library building)
Casey Bisson recently received the Mellon Award for Technology Collaboration for his WP opac: a mashup of the WordPress blogging platform and OPAC functions. Come find out what WPopac is and why it's a major step forward as we rethink the role and function of the OPAC in today's social software society.
Casey Bisson is information architect for Plymouth State University's Lamson Library. You can check out WP opac here
Sponsored by ASIS&T@Simmons! Naturally, there will be snacks and pizza.
