Member Resources and Student Guides

We've gathered all of our favorite resources and guides here to make life as a Simmons GSLIS student and ASIS&T member a little easier and maybe a little more fun. There is a guide for first-time attendees of the national conference, written by alum Caryn Anderson, a link to the new ASIS&T Digital Library, a few handy Simmons links, and some links to sites we think are cool.

Officer Resources

This section is devoted to student chapter administrative documentation and other resources officers often need to keep the student chapter running day-to-day. You'll find information on setting up a chapter, submitting annual reports, recruiting members, and more.

Research & Special Interest Groups

What are SIGs? They are the heart of ASIS&T and one of the best resources available to information professionals. It is in the SIGs that you will find others interested in what you're interested in, where you can exchange ideas, solicit advice, or just chat. A good way to start is to subscribe to a listserv. Below is a list of some of the larger SIGs, but visit the ASIS&T National site to see the full list, learn more, and sign up.
