Goldilocks' Oatmeal

A perfect hearty autumn meal to start OR end your day. This oatmeal is easy to make, but tastes fit for a princess.

Ingredients

  • A sprinkle of hemp seeds
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • Dash of half & half or heavy cream
  • 1 handful of chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 honeycrisp apple, thinly-sliced
  • 1.5 cups of water
  • 0.5 cups (dry) regular steel-cut oats
  • ~1 tbsp light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Bring water to boil in a medium-small saucepan.
  2. Once boiling, reduce to low. Add oats and salt.
  3. Cook until thick to your liking (usually ~10-15 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  4. Turn off heat and let stand for a few minutes. Then, add dairy and brown sugar. Mix well.
  5. Serve in a bowl. Top with chopped walnuts, hemp seeds, apple slices, then nutmeg—in that order.
