The thesaurus has three views, an alphabetical view, a hierarchical, or facet view, and a tag view.

The alphabetical view lists all of the terms (which appear in lowercase) in alphabetical order. To view the full description of a term, simply click on its link in the display.

The facet view provides a hierarchical view of the facets via a graphical user interface that lets you open and close "folders" that correspond to facets to see which terms are inside. The user interface will be familiar to both Windows and Mac users, alike.

Many of the terms in the thesaurus have been tagged with one or more names, such as [stained glass], [hot glass], and [design]. Tags are groupings of terms that span facets. For instance, all of the terms in the thesaurus that pertain to stained glass--including materials, chemicals, operations, and pieces of equipment--are grouped under the [stained glass] tag.

Note that not all terms have been grouped into a tagged category.
