  • Dr Chen has a devoted career as an educator in better preparing librarians for the new information age. She is an author/editor of 26 books and over 100 journal articles and reports. She is active in research. Results of her various research projects have appeared in close to one hundred scholarly journal publications. She was the editor of a Neal-Schuman Monograph Series entitled Applications in Information Management and Technology from 1980-1986, and is the founding Editor-in-chief of a quarterly international journal, Microcomputers for Information Management (1984-) published by Ablex. Moreover, Dr. Chen has served on Editorial Board of several high-tech publications, including the Electronic Library.
