  • "Continuing Education: Who's Responsibility and Do We Need CLENE?" was an invited paper given at an all-day workshop of the New England Unit of the Catholic Library Association at Emmanuel College on October 30, 1976, on "Beyond Today's Libraries: A Challenge for Tomorrow".
  • "American Library Education and Simmons," was a speech given to the library staff of the Singapore Polytechnic Institute in Singapore, January 18, 1977.
  • "Science Education in the U.S.," was discussed at the Peking University, May 19, 1979.
  • "Development of Information Science in China: A Recent Experience," a talk given at the SIG/ED and FID/ET meeting on Education and Training in Information Science on the Global Scene at the ASIS Annual Meeting, Minneapolis, October 15, 1979.

  • "Personal Viewpoints on Research in Library and Information Science," presented at the 43rd Annual Meeting of the American Society for Information Science, Anaheim, California on October 7, 1980.
  • "Information Policy Analysis and its Place in the Curriculum," presented at the 43rd Annual Meeting of the American Society for Information Science, Anaheim, California on October 8, 1980.

  • "Conceptual Model and the Design, Development and Implementation of an Education and Training Program for Health Sciences Information Network," was presented at the multi-country consultation meeting of the South East Asia Region of the World Health Organization in New Delhi, India on December 15-17, 1980.
