Greetings everyone:NIT '99 's tentative program suggests that we will have a very exciting program. I wish to take this chance to thank you for your interest in NIT '99.
We have very tight timeline, and therefore I wish to provide you some guidelines for preparing your final paper, and would appreciate your help in meeting the requests literally.
Here are some of the useful information:
PAPER PREPARATION:Deadline:
There are two deadlines for receiving the final papers. You will be the best to judge the date which is the one for you:
If you complete your paper ahead of these dates, we would appreciate receiving it prior to those dates, so that we will not be facing a backlog of papers.
We shall have very little time to contact people, therefore if the paper arrives after the indicated deadline (without prior arrangement with the organizers), it may NOT be included in the Proceedings, and the conference program will also be adjusted accordingly. At this point, we have a great deal more good papers submitted and accepted than we can accommodate, and thus this will be one way for us to eliminate some. I apologize in advance for this inflexibility, but our timeline is extremely tight!
How to prepare and send your paper:
PAPER PRESENTATION:Unless prearranged, due to the large number of papers, all will be presented with a very strict time allowance -- at this time, we are thinking of 10 minutes with perhaps 2-3 minutes additional for Q&A.
Since your full papers will be available at the conference in the published Proceedings, we request the presenters NOT to read the papers. Instead, we encourage the presenters to prepare PowerPoint like slides with main points highlighted.
I hope that you find this communication helpful. Should you have more questions, please feel free to contact me.
Looking forward to receiving your completed papers soon.
