How to burn CDs and DVDs

All of of the computers in the labs have the capability to burn 4.7GB DVDs.

  1. Insert a blank CD or DVD into the computer.
  2. A dialogue box will appear asking you what to do. Chose to open the Finder.
  3. Drag any files you would like to burn into the CD icon on your Desktop.
  4. Open the CD by double-clicking the icon. Click the Burn button to start burning the CD or DVD.
  5. A progress indicator will appear. When it is done, your CD or DVD will be finished.

How to scan a negative

  1. Ask a Lab Monitor for a negative tray for the scanner.
  2. Carefully remove the white backing from the scanner cover.
  3. Make sure you have selected “Profession Mode” as your scanning mode.
  4. Select “Film” as your Document Type.
  5. Select either “Color Negative Film” or “B&W Negative Film” as your Film Type.
