Fonts With Missing Printer-Font Files

PostScript fonts always consist of two files. One suitcase font file (also referred to as bitmap file or screen-font file) and one outline-font file (also named printer-font file). If one of these two components is missing the font is called orphaned. Depending on the program, this can lead to several problems. Therefore, it is recommended to always have both parts available on your computer.
