Cleaning System Fonts Folders

During the installation of applications on your computer, most probably additional font files have been installed into the system font folders. These directories, however, are reserved for the fonts of the operating system and should be kept clean.

Linotype FontExplorer X provides a function to remove all fonts from the system font folders that do not belong to the standard fonts of your operating system.

Choose Tools > Clean System Font folders...

Read the warning message carefully.

Click "Proceed".

All fonts that were not installed by the Mac OS X installation will be moved to a folder on your desktop named "FontsRemovedFromSystem".
