Getting Stubborn Fonts to Show in Quark
Sometimes fonts that you have activated simply do not show up in the Quark font menu.
To activate a font to use in Quark, follow these steps:
- If Quark is currently open, quit the application
- Open FontExplorer X
- Select the fonts that you would like to use and activate them.
- Open Quark
- Open your document (or a new one) and the fonts you activated will appear in the Font Menu.
If you have followed all of the steps listed above, and your fonts are still not showing up in the Quark font menu, follow these steps:
- Open FontExplorer X
- From the Menu Bar, choose FontExplorer X > Preferences
- Click on the Advanced icon
- Uncheck "Deactivate all fonts which have been activated during the active session on quit"
- Activate all desired fonts
- Quit FontExplorer (FontExplorer X > Quit FontExplorer X or Apple + Q)
- Open FontExplorer X
- Open Quark.
