Exercises

Good Food Website

Your complete Good Food website will be due on Monday, December 3 (two weeks from today). We will critique these in class! You only need to complete the following pages for this site:

• index.html
• about.html
• resources.html
• recipes/index.html
• recipes/mango-chutney.html
• tips/index.html

The final version should fit the following criteria:

• Your own complete and cohesive design including a logo and images, styled text and working navigation.
• Clear and consistent site navigation, including a link to the home page on each page. The only exception to this is the homepage, which does not necessarily need a link to itself.
• All links should work. If there are links that do not link to a page you have done, use the pound symbol (#) as the link. This will cause the link to still act like a link, but not actually do anything.
  Ex: <a href="#" title="dummy link">Dummy Link</a>
• All HTML pages should validate
• All styles should be done using an external style sheet and the reset.css style sheet I gave you.

You should make sure there is a link on your class website that includes the text "Final Good Food" website, so that I know it is your final version. There should also be a working link to your blog, your midterm assignment and the various parts of your final project.

Final Project

The final version of your Photoshop mockups are due next week. We will be critiquing them in class. Review the mockup assignment from the final page if you have any questions. If for some reason you have not handed in any of the other pieces of the final project, they should be handed in no later than Monday, November 26th.

• Mockups

This will be the last version of your mockups you will create for class. After we critique them in class you should make whatever changes necessary and begin coding your site.

Deliverables
Please follow the same preparation as for this week for sharing your mockups.

Create a folder inside your named folder with these following folders:

• Vol2 > Grabiner/Comm244>Final Project > YourName> Mockups > Version2

Save all of your HTML and CSS files for the mockup presentation in the folder you just created. Also save a copy of your PSD file in the same folder. Make sure that you still have your PSD file saved in at least one other different place!
