I'm a college student, and when I want to eat mac and cheese, I wanna go hard. However, not every full-time student or young professional has the time or money to make their mac and cheese the way it should be made. This is an easy recipe with ingredients that you likely have in your fridge already. Go wild.
Cooking Instruction
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.
- 2. In a large pot of salted water, lightly boil the macaroni for about 5 minutes until half-cooked.
- 3. Whisk the egg and milk together in a large cup. Add butter and cheese to the egg and milk. Stir well.
- 4. Place the lightly cooked macaroni in the prepared baking dish. Pour the egg and cheese liquid over the macaroni, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and stir well. Press the mixture evenly around the baking dish.
- 5. Sprinkle the crushed Cheez-its onto the macaroni, gently pressing it into the mixture. Ideally, it should have a crust-like appearance.
- 6. Bake uncovered, for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the top is brown.
- 7. When it's done, serve, then literally douse it in Sriracha. Positively drown it.
