Create a Moodle Webpage

You can create content directly in Moodle by creating a webpage.

You may want to create a Moodle webpage so your students do not have to download files. You may also want to create a Moodle webpage if you would like to embed content from another source on the web, like a YouTube video.

  1. From the upper right of the Moodle course, click Turn editing on.
  2. In the section from where you would like to link your file, from the Add a resource drop-down menu, choose Compose a web page. The Adding a new Resource screen will open.
  3. Give your webpage a name (this will be visible to students).
  4. Optionally write a short summary to describe your page. This summary appears in the list of Resources.
  5. Under Compose a web page, in the Full text field, create your webpage. This page can include formatted text, images, video, or almost anything else you might build into a webpage.
  6. Create Moodle Webpage
  7. At the bottom of the screen, click Save and return to course. The link to the web page will now appear in the course section.
