1. The following questions address how well the Board has met its goals for the year.  The scale ranges from 5 (excellent) to 1 (poor).

A. Complete a new long-range plan for The Fenn School.

• Develop an implementation plan with a prioritized action timeline.
• Communicate the goals of the plan to the Fenn community.

B. Work with the Headmaster to maintain a positive relationship with the School community.

C. Please indicate how well you believe the Board has met its ongoing responsibilities, as described in the NAIS Trustee Handbook:

• Support, promote and regularly review the mission statement.
• Review and maintain the by-laws and establish policies and plans consistent with the mission.
• Assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and minimize exposure to legal action.
• Ensure the financial well being of the school.
• Select, support and nurture the Headmaster.
• Conduct an annual written evaluation of the performance of the Headmaster and work with the Headmaster to establish goals each year.

• Keep complete and accurate records of the meetings and policies of the Board and its operating committees.
• Work to ensure that all Trustees are actively involved in the work of the Board.
