Video still from Feast © B. Lynch 2011

World Premier of Feast at Multiplexer Video Gallery

September 2012

Perception of our ears, eyes and background knowledge are the subjects of my most recent work. In Feast we have an unreliable narrator. Our guide, the delectable Yvette, is self-centered and aging, leading us through her famous lovers’ philosophies. Yet, she has her own take on how the world should be engaged with. The images and aural textures are layered with a sense of loss. Surreal and sensual, images float and fade. It is both a Vanitas and a celebration. Feast is an exploration of how and what we know.
