2011 Exhibitions and Events: Boston Center for the Arts and the Trustman Gallery at Simmons College
Fall Greetings,
I have some interesting projects going on this Fall, and would love to invite you to any or all of them. The premier presentation of my installation, Musical Traces, will be on view at the Boston Center for the Arts 22nd Drawing Show—Residue, October 14—November 27. http://www.bcaonline.org/visualarts/mills-gallery.html The show was curated by Steven Holmes, Adjunct Curator, Bass Museum, Miami & Curator, Cartin Collection.
Music and my hand moving over paper always seem to go together. Over the past several years when I attend the symphony or a live musical performance, I draw images that present themselves to my musically engaged mind. Musical Traces is the ephemeral record of my attendance at these concerts.
On the curating front I’m producing Linda Bond—Collateral Damage, October 11-November 10, 2011 at the Trustman Gallery at Simmons College. http://www.simmons.edu/trustman She has a wonderful review in Art NE, see link on our page. Glam + Bam, Warhol and Edgerton: Photos from the Simmons Collection, was well received and had a full page review by Mark Feeney in the Boston Globe,
