  • When: Thursday, November 13th AND Tuesday, April 21, 2009
  • Where: 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge.

Mount Auburn Cemetery is a National Historic Landmark. Founded in 1831, it was the first open landscape available to the public and the inspiration for the rural cemetery movement in the United States. Still an active burial site, it is the final resting place of many notable people, including John Simmons, Mary Baker Eddy, Isabella Stewart Gardner, Oliver Wendall Holmes, Charles Sumner, and Winslow Homer, to name a few.

Visit http://www.mountauburn.org/visit_participate/directions.cfm for directions. You can take the #71 and #73 buses from Harvard Square directly to the entrance gate. Visit Mount Auburn's website for more information.
