Greetings and salutations! The purpose of this site is to showcase my archival experience and education as well as my technical and professional writing skills for potential employers.
Thanks to the amazing dual-masters-degree Archives Managment program at Simmons College, I am learning how to be an archivist. Between classes on preservation and business and an internship with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), I am learning how to be an effective manager of an archive. Thanks to the wonderful Professional Writing and Technical Communication (PWTC) program at UMass Amherst I learned the basics of web design. Everything on this site, from the introductory Flash animation to the manual samples, stems from skills I learned in the PWTC program. Please visit the PWTC homepage at http://www.umass.edu/pwtc for more information about this great program.
Enjoy exploring my site, and feel free to email me at r.scholastica@gmail.com with comments or questions. I plan to maintain and update this site over the next three years as I pursue my two masters degrees at Simmons, so please check back frequently.
