Note: Without proper excuse, late assignments would get 5 points deducted per day after the due day.

2.Midterm (15%)

3. Term Project: Information Systems Case Study (20%)

Throughout the semester, you will be involved in studying an actual information systems in a library or an information center. Your tasks include interviewing key system personnel to obtain first-hand knowledge of the organization's mission and technological infrastructure. You will collect information on the organization's hardware configuration, network architecture, its systems' division's staffing pattern. You will test and evaluate the organization's Web systems and talk to patrons/library staff to obtain users' input. You will provide an overall critical analysis of effectiveness and efficiency of IS systems in the library or information center.
