There is no midterm nor final exam for this course. The class contains multiple in-class exercises, assignments and team projects. Check course schedule for the due dates.

You will use dialogclassic for your dialog assignments, a class login from factiva.com page to do factiva search, and individual LexisNexis accounts for LexisNexis Academic search.

 

Note: Without proper excuse, late assignments would get 2 points deducted per day after the due day.

I. Assignments: (57%)

The following assignments are done independently by individual students.

II. Projects and Participation: (43%)

  The following projects are done in teams (same team membership for the two projects).

  • Electronic Resource Librarian Interview Question Development Wiki Project: 8%

    For this project, you will work in teams (the same teams as your final case study project) to develop interview questions that will be used in your final case study project. You will use the class wiki page as the platform for your team discussion and submission of final questions.

  • Electronic Resource Management in Libraries Case Study: 28%

    During the semester, you will work in teams to conduct a case study of a real library's approaches and strategies in managing electronic resources by examining the electronic resource offering via the library Website and conducting a phone interview with the electronic resource librarian.
     

    Details will be available on the project sheet.

     

  • Class Participation and Presentation: 7%
