Introduction to the concepts, design  and implementation of computer networks. Traces the evolution from early networking to emerging technologies that will dictate computational models at the beginning of the 21st century. This course will cover basic data communication concepts, layered architectures, LANs, WANs, internetworking, security models, the Internet, intranets, network management and network design considerations.
