Mando'a

Mando’a or Mandalorian (Because Mandalorians are the least creative people in the Star

Wars universe, I personally blame all the concussions they must get) is a primarily spoken language leading it

to be very expressive. The grammar of the language is relatively simple, the biggest changes are the elimination of

tenses as Mandalorians believed in the living their history and their belief that the future was not always a certainty,

and its gender neutrality.

Gender is simply implied by context (they did have words for male and female if needed).

New words were made from existing words within the language, as a result there is little to no words or phrases

from outside sources (unlike English which is notorious for its overlap with other languages.) An example of this in

action is the word for ‘coward’ - hut'tuun – which comes from the word Hutt (An influential crime lord family within

the Star Wars universe). Mandalorians viewed the Hutts as cowards because they always hired others to their work.
