Welcome to my homepage. On this site you will find information about my work in Information Organization, a core area of Library and Information Science. I am currently an Assistant Professor at Simmons College's Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS). This is my second year at Simmons and very happy to be here. Before arriving in Boston, I received my MLIS and Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Information Sciences, where I studied with Professor Emerita Arlene G. Taylor. Before moving to Pittsburgh, I lived in San Francisco, California and before that I grew up outside of Washington, DC in Southern Maryland.
