On this site you will find information about my work in Information Organization, a core area of Library and Information Science.

I am currently an Assistant Professor at Simmons College's Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS). This is my fourth year at Simmons and I am very happy to be here. My colleagues, dean, and students are fantastic. Before arriving in Boston, I received my MLIS and Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Information Sciences, where I studied with Professor Emerita Arlene G. Taylor.

Before moving to Pittsburgh, I lived in San Francisco, California and before that I grew up outside of Washington, DC in Southern Maryland.
