In 1989, Sun MicroSystems, Inc. supported part of PROJECT EMPEROR-I's R&D work
in digital imaging area with its minicomputer Sun 3-160. In April 1989, PROJECT EMPEROR-I was one of the three university
projects selected for inclusion in its brochure, Sun: Systems for Campus
Computing, for world-wide distribution to higher education and research
institutes.In October 1989, Dr. Chen also contributed the images of Emperor project for the demonstration videodisc produced by Sun for EDUCOM Conference.
