Welcome to my homepage. On this site you will find information about my work as a professor of Information Organization, a core area of Library and Information Science. I am currently an Associate Professor at Simmons College's Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS). This is my seventh year at Simmons and I am very happy to be here. My colleagues, dean, and students are fantastic. Before arriving in Boston, I received my MLIS and Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Information Sciences, where I studied with Professor Emerita Arlene G. Taylor. Before moving to Cambridge, I lived in Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and DC. For brief periods I lived/worked in Atlanta, rural Kentucky, Fairfield California, and Fairbanks Alaska. I am originally from Southern Maryland. |
