Do I Want to be an English Major?

Introduction to Literature (English 110) is the only other Modes of Inquiry class I have taken so far. I took it my first semester here at Simmons. It fulfills Mode 2 (Language, Literature, & Culture). The class was taught by Professor David Gullette.

This class is supposed to be for students who like to read but aren't sure if they actually want to major in English. I love to read and in this class we read different types of literature like plays and short stories and then analyzed them in class discussions and numerous papers.

I liked this class because we read a lot of good material and I got to practice my writing skills. The class made me realize that I should seriously consider majoring in English.
