Asian Student Association |
---|
ASA, the Asian Students Association, celebrates the diversity of different Asian ethnic backgrounds and countries, such as Cambodia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal, Fiji (that's where I'm from!), Thailand, etc...It sounds Asian oriented and geared, but it's an inclusive organization that welcomes everyone from different ethnic backgrounds to join the club and promote Asian awareness.
Events would be our Henna days, where we do India's art of temporary body tatooing as a fund raiser. Some of the designs people create are beautiful! There is the Cake Cutting ceremony, intellectual speakers, Karaoke Nights, and since April is Asian Awareness Month, in the residence dining area, Bartol Hall, they cook Asian dishes, and ASA gives a big performance to the Simmons community at Hospitality Night, where we dance, sing, and show our ethnic talents.
The organization as a whole is very fun and the people are wonderful
and fascinating. We work hard as a whole and do our best in trying to
bring Asian awareness to the campus.
