I love art in all its medias. It's a passion of mine, and I'm getting a minor to basically show that to the world (sorry, but a triple major sounds really really scary). I'm not too familiar with the Art department yet. I don't even know if they realize I'm one of their future alums, mainly because I just began classes for my minor.
An Art minor emphasizes on either Studio Art or Art History. For both fields, you are required 20 semester hours, or specifically five classes. My emphasis is on Studio Art, which requires
Art AP in high school gave me a basic introduction to the many different
genres of art. I took an independent oil painting class during the school
year to also improve my skills in painting. Right now I'm taking drawing.
My future class studies will hopefully be in clay sculpting, painting,
photography, and then a particular art history. Overall I'm just excited
about taking the classes. The fact that I can get a minor out of what I
love so much is very exciting. Especially since the minor basically will
give me the unneeded authorization to draw for my future children's books.
