As I said before, there are so many things to do and see and taste in London, it would be next to impossible to list them all. While I was there, I tried to get out at least every week to see something new. I barely scraped the surface during my 6 month stay! What I did do, however, I did with lots of enthusiasm, and I think I really got the most out of my favorite city in the world . . . And I can't wait to go back! So, here are a few of my picks . . . If you do end up going, you mustexperience these things for yourself. Nothing beats the real thing.

The London Eye. You've heard of it, I'm sure. Remember that huge Ferris-wheel type thing that didn't work on Y2K? Well, it's most definitely working now and it was the most incredible hour of my life. Not only is this thing an architectural and structural masterpiece, it provides the best view of the city you can get. Situated right on the South bank of the River Thames, it is one of the highest points on the London skyline . . .

See those things that look like tiny pods? Well, just to give you a sense of scale, those pods can each fit an entire car inside and still have room to walk comfortably around it. This thing is mamouth!

Theater in England has centuries on us . . . In London alone there are over 200 theaters, all with history, tradition and elegance. The oldest, and most famous of all is, of course, Shakespeare's Globe Theater on the South Bank of the Thames. Newly restored and fully functioning, this was the place that saw the beginning of it all . . . From Shakespearian plays to more modern drama, the Globe has become an age-old landmark of fantastic productions.

The Food in England has always gotten a bad rap . . . I thought I would starve when I went because all there was to eat was Fish and Chips, Kebabs and really nasty Liver Pie. Sure, it has that, (and strangely enough, I found I like some of the typical English food) but there are so many kinds of people in London, with so many different tastes, the city caters to them all. My favorites are Pride of Asia on Mile End Rd, East End, Yo! Sushi in Piccadilly Circus in the West End, and Zizzi on The Strand. Imagine any flavor, spice, tradition or ethnicity and you will find it in London.
