Tour for Children
On June 1st, 2024 (6/1/2024) the museum, in conjunction with the Westfield Athenaeum, will be giving a tour of some of our exhibits. The event will start in the main lobby as the librarians at the Westfield Athenaeum will walk families through all the useful and exciting services the library can provide. Near the end of the tour, the children will be given a special tour of the museum tailored to them and focusing on the exciting history of Westfield. This is all in an effort to encourage children to visit the library and cultivate a passion for learning and our collective history and culture in the next generation. Any and all families living in the Western Massachusetts area are encouraged to stop by. Together, we can ensure our children get the education they need for our ever evolving world. For more information, please call our youth services center at (413) 568-7833.
Exhibit Rotation
Starting May 4th, 2024 (5/4/2024), the Victorian Exhibit will be rotated out and the items replaced with a new exhibit focusing on education in Westfield. Focusing on Westfield’s fascinating history with higher education and innovation, this new exhibit will delve into how that education affected Westfield. If you want more information on which specific items will be rotated out and which will stay, please feel free to email us at reference@westath.org or calling us (413) 568-7833.
