Globalization on a Shoestring COMM-328

Globalization on a Shoestring is a “virtual” study aboard course that, through the use of streaming video, audio, and social networking sites, such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Ning, bring students from Simmons together with students from the African University College of Communications in Accra, Ghana. In that classroom, the students not only gain practical skills in radio production, broadcast writing, and video production, and create valuable portfolio pieces, they also develop friendships in real-time with their peers from the other side of the globe.
